Habit 1: Be Proactive

Most people react to their environment around them automatically, with little to no thought about the long term effects of their reactions. Proactive people, on the other hand, carefully choose their responses. This ability to "push pause" allows proactive people to take control of the way events unfold in their lives. They engineer the path they take and as a result are better able to navigate the ups and downs of everyday life.
